Hello,

as the topic suggests it crashes upon starting. A message appears saying:

Debugging with MS Visual Studio says the following:

Version 1.19 was fine though.

I'm using Windows 7 x64, but that doesn't seem to be the problem because FLCompanion works on my other PC with the same OS, but I never had it installed there before. Maybe there are some things left over from the previous installation, which cause it to crash?

I reinstalled version 1.17 (latest I could find) for now without any problems.

Any help or ideas are very appreciated. I really want to test that new version.

what mod are you using?

I'm running the latest Discovery Mod (version 4.85 I think) on both Computers, so maybe the mod is not the problem since the FL Companion works on one of them. But I'm just guessing here.

Ok I've reinstalled Freelancer and the Discovery Mod and also deinstalled the tool Freelancer Explorer. FLCompanion is now running and doesn't crash anymore. I think the problem was Freelancer Explorer or what it might have done to the mod files since I don't have it on my other PC.

Problem solved.

EDIT: Even after reinstalling Freelancer Explorer the FLCompanion still works. So most probably it was a faulty installation of either FL or the mod.

Thank you for a great tool! Without it Freelancer wouldn't be the same.
