Hi there.

So Discovery has a 'DSAce' client side DLL file now - you can't play any Disco server that requires it if it isn't turned on.

This is primarily an anticheat feature.

However it also provides a way to make certain commodites' prices change.

When you connect to a server, the program modifies Freelancer's memory to have new commodity prices, the ones stored serverside.

So, basically, can we please have a 'workaround' put into FLCompanion so that it read's Freelancer memory if it is open?

And obviously a button to reload the memory.

I will start studying Dynamic Economy (from Discovery & HHC)...
I can't promise I will find/implement a solution anytime soon, but I will take a look

Can you give me an example of a price found in Discovery that differs from the price displayed by FLCompanion ?

I haven't been able to find evidence of a Dynamic Economy in Discovery that disturbs FLCompanion..

All the ore prices + Uncut Diamonds tend to be changed by DSAce on Discovery Freelancer RP 24/7 and Discovery UK RP 24/7.
However, they can use the tool to change any commodity price that appears in the game, and I would like to see FLCompanion able to detect that change and display the correct data.
Any other server running the server-side FLHook plugin can change the prices aswell.

Please show me screenshots showing a difference between the in-game price and the price shown in Freelancer !!

I have not seen any difference !!

I'm working on finding a workaround for DSAce now :)

Freelancer Companion 2.01 now has Universal support for Dynamic Economy (should work with every mods!)

I've actually had major issues with this feature since the upgrade to v2.02. It worked beautifully in v2.01 last year so there might be something in the upgraded code. I've often wished that there was a way to download v2.01 again.
